Tallaght Regional Hospital is the amalgamation of the Meath Hospital, Adelaide and National Children’s Hospital to form AMNCH. Tallaght Regional Hospital opened in 1998. It has 513 public beds, 2000 staff, 12 operating theatres and a full range of clinical services spread over 32 integrated departments. Pivotal were appointed to provide full Civil & Structural Services, Resident Engineering Services and PSDP by Tallaght Hospital Board & Adelaide Hospital (incorporating the National Children’s Hospital) for the original 57,000 m2 structures which were built on a green field site. Since the hospital has opened, Pivotal have continued to provide Civil and Structural Consulting Services for ongoing projects of various sizes with a cumulative value of over €140 million including the OPD Extension, 500 space Multi-storey car park (Design & Build), Trinity Medical School Phase 1, 89 Beds Private Ward Block, 39 bed Discharge Units and a septic pharmacy extension. Since the introduction of the updated Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations in 2006 Pivotal have acted as Project Supervision for the Design Process on numerous projects undertaken within the hospital
